Neighborhood Purposes Grants (NPGs)
Neighborhood Purposes Grants allow the Arts District Little Tokyo Neighborhood Council to fund local projects that benefit the community. Eligible organizations include 501(c)(3) nonprofits and public schools, and projects must be public, accessible, and serve the neighborhood—such as programs in the arts, education, beautification, or community improvements.
Grants are available for projects up to $5,000.
NPGs are awarded twice a year, in the spring and fall, and projects must fall within the ADLT-NC boundaries. Applications are not accepted on a rolling basis.
Current Year Schedule
| Fall 2026 Open Period & Deadline | September 21st – October 9th |
| Spring 2027 Open Period & Deadline | TBD |
To be considered, applicants submit a proposal during posted application windows. Application windows and deadlines will be announced in advance and appear on this page. Please note Grants can only be awarded for events/programs that occur after the Grant is awarded at the monthly ADLT NC meeting.
In addition to the completed forms from the City Clerk’s website, ADLT-NC applications also require estimates from listed vendors. Returning applicants must also provide an after-action report and payment receipts for previous grants.
Applications are reviewed by ADLT-NC’s Action Committee, which reviews requests and recommends them to the full Board. Approved projects are then forwarded to the City for processing.
Conflict of Interest: If your application involves a current ADLT-NC Board member, they must follow City Attorney conflict-of-interest procedures. Failure to do so may result in denial.
