A Community Impact Statements (CIS) is an official position adopted by a Neighborhood Council on pending or active City legislation or policy. CISs allow councils to publicly express support, opposition, or suggestions, and are filed with the City Clerk where they appear on city documents. Filing a CIS also allows the council to provide testimony at City Council and commission hearings, helping city leaders understand the neighborhood impact of proposed legislation.
Information on pending legislation can be found on the Council File Management System (CFMS).
